The elective module 'Sustainable Water Management' is
designed to be used in the 'Water Management' course at MBO (secondary
Vocational Education and Training - VET) level 3 and 4. This course is offered
in the northern provinces by a joint effort of Nordwin College, Terra-Next,
Zone, and Aeres.
The elective can also be used
separately as a module in course or contract activities offered by, among
others, CIV Water (acronym for Centre for Innovative Craftsmanship Water).
The elective has been approved by the
Ministry and is on the list of VET electives.
There are 4 components to the elective:
- Rural Water Management
- Climate-Proof Water Management
- Urban Water Management
- Working with Automated Systems
The elective course will be interwoven with modules on
offer in the VET block or day release courses. The elective is offered in the
second year of the course.
There is a small difference in
the courses for level 3 or level 4.
It concludes with a portfolio
exam, including a presentation.
